Marketing & Administrative Coordinator (Tech Temp)

Job Purpose:

Provide specialized administrative services and support for marketing activities for assigned academic or business unit.


  • Plan, coordinate and support scheduling and logistics for unit events and engagement activities.
  • Act as a liaison with internal and external groups to create or maintain partnerships, outreach and/or development opportunities in support of unit objectives.
  • Participate in the development of new marketing initiatives that may include detailed design of print, email and/or web campaigns and coordination of related production efforts.
  • Provide administrative services including travel arrangements, agenda preparation, mailings, file maintenance and related duties.
  • May participate in the development and maintenance of client databases for future outreach efforts.
  • Originate and process correspondence, reports and other documentation in support of unit objectives.
  • Compile, organize and analyze data for use in reports.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • One to two years job related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, effective organizational skills, self-motivation, interpersonal skills/team player, ability to work under deadlines; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge and interest in¬†intellectual property and technology transfer; ability to analyze large amounts of information and select most important facts;¬†knowledge of basic marketing tools such as social-media management tools like HootSuite in addition to Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

This position will interact on a regular basis with: faculty, staff, and stakeholders. This position typically will advise and counsel: faculty, staff, and stakeholders.

Qualifications: Basic typing skills are preferred; attention to detail is required; excellent customer service skills are essential.
